Purpose of a co-elaboration process is to improve the specifications and generate new ideas rather than testing them. Instead of real users in their contexts, "friendly users" which is to say, people using the new product-service but in a positive / friendly way, helps to overcome imprecision of mock-ups and beta versions.
Within the LDC living laboratory, a studio manager service facilitating the performance of a labs work was experimented: a "friendly architect" following a strict protocol investigates the scenarios helping the research team to reorganise its workspace.
