Kingston has once again claimed the title of the world’s number one third-party DRAM module supplier, according to the latest revenue-based rankings by TrendForce, summarizing the brand’s continued dominance in the market with an estimated 66% share, marking its 22nd consecutive year at the top.

Kingston DRAM Chart 2024

TrendForce’s report notes that global DRAM module sales rose by 7% YoY in 2024, recovering from a steep 28% decline in 2023. Despite slower revenue growth in the second half of the year due to softer consumer demand, Kingston maintained its commanding lead, with the top five module suppliers collectively accounting for 81% of total sales. Notably, its nearest competitor held only 5% market share, reinforcing the brand’s overwhelming dominance in the segment.

The report highlights that DRAM manufacturers shifted focus toward high-bandwidth memory (HBM) and server-grade DDR5 products toward the end of 2023, tightening the supply of other DRAM types and pushing prices upward. This led module manufacturers to increase procurement and replenish inventories, driving the total DRAM module market to $13.3 billion in 2024. However, the second half of the year saw rising module prices dampen demand, limiting further growth.

Kingston credits its consistent approach to innovative products, where one of the special products comes in the form of a racecar-inspired Kingston FURY Renegade DDR5 RGB Limited Edition featuring a sleek curved design and an impressive 8000MT/s speed for extreme overclocking performance. Additionally, the new Kingston FURY Renegade DDR5 CUDIMMs, compatible with Intel’s 800-series chipset (formerly Arrow Lake), expanded Kingston’s reach among professionals seeking uncompromised speed and signal integrity.
