ASUS has officially unveiled the ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 5090, a limited-edition graphics card celebrating the company’s 30th anniversary in the graphics card market. Announced at Gamescom 2025, this card is positioned as ASUS’s ultimate offering for PC enthusiasts and gamers seeking top-tier performance.
The new card is powered by the NVIDIA Blackwell architecture, featuring the latest DLSS 4 technology for AI-enhanced graphics and performance. It builds on the legacy of previous ASUS ROG Matrix cards by incorporating several cutting-edge features designed for maximum overclocking and thermal efficiency.
One of the most notable features is its unique cooling solution. The ROG Matrix RTX 5090 features a revolutionary quad-fan design that creates a powerful vertical airflow channel, claimed to boost air pressure by up to 20%. This design, along with a patented vapor chamber and a full-copper heatsink, helps to dramatically lower GPU temperatures. Additionally, it includes a “Memory Defroster” feature, designed to help with extreme liquid nitrogen (LN2) overclocking by preventing memory freezes.
