One of the backbones in emerging new technology has always been in startups. Historically speaking, there are a lot of new technologies that changed the world which came from startups – let’s say Google and Apple, for example. They appeared out of nowhere and became a tech leader eventually – and the new Big Bang Startup Zone within TAITRONICS & AIoT 2025 shines a spotlight on these startups.
The Big Bang Startup Zone gathers innovative teams from 16 countries, including Canada, France, the U.S., Japan, the U.K., Malaysia, Chile, and Germany, showcasing technologies such as AI visual sensing, multilingual AI platforms, and electrochromic displays, creating new opportunities for startup collaboration and investment exchange.
Here are a few of the exhibitors that we visited at the Big Bang Startup Zone.
TwinSkin Care
The goal of TwinSkin Care is simple. Oftentimes, when we’re discharged from the hospital, we’ll still need regular visits for follow-ups. If we just send a picture to the doctor, a lot of information is missing – like the proper color, the depth, and also the surroundings of the wound and how the healing process is progressing.
TwinSkin Care, which is developed by Dermatoo SRL from Belgium, simplifies that process by creating a digital twin of the wound in 3D, so that your doctor can get a proper view of the wound without obstructions and has the correct colors as well, since the color of the wound can signify the health.

The magic lies in this little piece of sticker that holds a surprising amount of information, and also the proprietary software that provides a platform for the patients and doctors to communicate through. It’s a brillian solution to a problem where access to the hospital is difficult – like rural areas or for those who are just unfit to move around.

Clirio
Clirio is a company that developed a platform that creates a digital twin of scans and is able to be viewed on a variety of different computers, phones, tablets, and also VR headsets from a variety of different brands. This technology enables collaborative efforts from experts around the globe without being physically there.
While the idea is simple, the execution is well done. While I wish I can show an image of how it looks through the VR glasses, you really have to be there to try it out.
Ethicronics
The world now is powered by electronics, and they’re everywhere. These electronic devices, when they come out of the factory, will work the way the manufacturer intended them to work. However, there are bad actors who tamper with them to either intercept data, for example. So, Ethicronics came up with a solution – a sort of anti-tamper chip that checks for the integrity of the entire system.

From what we’ve shown, the anti-tamper chip is tiny and wouldn’t take mup much space on the board itself. I guess it could also be integrated into the SoC itself since it’s this tiny.

And many more
