HCLTech just teamed up with NVIDIA to launch a new innovation lab in Santa Clara, and it is done to give enterprises a place to explore and scale what they call physical AI and cognitive robotics.

The lab ties directly into HCLTech’s global AI Lab network, pulling together NVIDIA’s full stack – from Omniverse and Metropolis to Isaac Sim, Jetson, and Holoscan – alongside HCLTech’s own lineup of physical AI tools like VisionX, Kinetic AI, IEdgeX and SmartTwin – all to enable companies to move from experimenting in simulation to actually validating autonomous systems in real-world scenarios.

NVIDIA’s Deepu Talla put it pretty simply, saying generative physical AI is set to reshape industrial automation, and this lab helps companies bridge the gap between digital simulation and real deployment. Meanwhile, HCLTech’s Vijay Guntur added that combining HCLTech’s AI engineering expertise with NVIDIA’s platforms lets enterprises rethink how physical operations are run, pushing advancements in robotics, automation, and operational intelligence while strengthening the partnership between both companies.

HCLTech says its physical AI portfolio blends robotics, autonomous systems, edge intelligence, simulation, and digital twins to boost productivity and resilience in real-world settings, and they’re already working with several major G2000 clients in this space, including a top port operator, a major high-tech company, and a mining firm in Europe.
