Epson has launched its new A4 document scanners, the WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN, in Malaysia. These new models are designed to boost business efficiency with their fast and flexible scanning capabilities.

Fast and Versatile Performance

The WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN can scan up to 30 pages per minute using the automatic document feeder (ADF) and up to 7 seconds per page with the flatbed. The 60-sheet ADF is ideal for high-volume scanning, while the flatbed allows for the digitization of delicate or thick items like ID cards, photos, and booklets. The scanners also feature one-pass duplex scanning, text enhancement, and document edge correction. A continuous scanning feature lets users combine documents from both the ADF and flatbed into a single file.

Advanced Features and Management Solutions

The DS-1760WN model includes a 2.4-inch LCD touchscreen and supports PC-less operation with ScanWay. This allows for direct scanning to network folders, USB drives, cloud services, or email without a computer. Both models come with Document Capture Pro, which can automate scanning workflows with up to 30 customizable scan jobs. This software can also convert documents into searchable PDFs or editable Office documents using OCR and send them directly to cloud storage, email, or network folders.

User-Centric and Eco-Conscious Design

Epson’s new scanners are built with sustainability in mind, with up to 30% of the main body made from recycled plastics. This makes them a great option for businesses looking to reduce their environmental impact. The scanners also feature image sensor glass dirt detection, which alerts users to clean the glass to prevent poor image quality and the need for rescanning.

The Epson WorkForce DS-1730 and DS-1760WN A4 document scanners will be available for sale in Malaysia starting August 1, 2025.
