The update includes two-way asynchronous replication, thin provisioning, and advanced data compression, offering organizations greater flexibility, cost efficiency, and enhanced disaster recovery options across hybrid environments.

The move comes as hybrid cloud adoption continues to accelerate, with a 2025 cloud adoption report indicating that 80% of companies now use multiple public clouds while 60% also operate several private clouds. This complexity, compounded by the data surge driven by AI, has left 47% of IT and security leaders struggling with visibility and control over hybrid infrastructures.

With its Google Cloud Marketplace availability, VSP One SDS allows enterprises to manage storage seamlessly across cloud and on-premises setups without re-architecting. Features like thin provisioning and compression can cut cloud storage costs by up to 40%, while two-way asynchronous replication enables primary and secondary sites to act as both source and target, strengthening disaster recovery strategies.

Built for high availability with a target uptime of 99.999%, VSP One SDS also supports native migration across any storage platform and cloud, reducing downtime risks and operational costs. For channel partners, the integration opens new opportunities to support customers with software-defined solutions that enhance resiliency, security, and sustainability.

The update builds on Hitachi Vantara’s ongoing innovations, including the recent launch of VSP 360, which streamlines the VSP One experience and delivers greater visibility into data and infrastructure.
