Cloudflare has launched the new ‘Cloudflare for AI, ‘ basically a full suite of tools designed to help companies secure and manage their AI applications. It covers everything from monitoring how AI models are used to protecting against potential misuse and leaks of sensitive information. With AI being integrated into everything these days, from pricing strategies, supply chains, medical data, etc, you can imagine the security risks popping up just as fast. Cloudflare’s new tools aim to help companies stay ahead of those threats.

One of the big challenges right now is that while AI models are easier to access and use, security teams often don’t even know where or how they’re being used within their organization. Cloudflare’s Firewall for AI changes that by automatically discovering both authorized and unauthorized AI apps running in a company’s network. Once they’re spotted, teams can decide how to handle them.

They’ve also added features to monitor how employees use AI tools because once sensitive information leaks out through a chatbot or AI app, there’s really no getting it back. But with Cloudflare’s AI Gateway, one can track prompts and usage patterns, helping prevent confidential data from being shared by accident. It can even detect toxic or inappropriate prompts before they trigger harmful responses from the model, thanks to an integration with Llama Guard.

On the deployment side, the organization is making it easier for businesses to build AI apps without having to worry about sacrificing security or speed. Their Workers AI platform runs on GPUs spread across 190 cities, so companies can serve AI applications quickly and securely, wherever their users are.

And of course, because AI apps are becoming prime targets for attacks, Cloudflare is adding layers of protection to block malicious crawlers or bad actors trying to abuse those models. They also handle traffic optimization and load balancing to keep everything running smoothly.

As for availability, Cloudflare for AI is live now, with more information accessible here.
